October Colours in Regina

Thanksgiving Monday was a beautiful day in Regina.  My camera has not been out as much as I would have liked this summer, but the holiday was the perfect opportunity to go for a wander, camera in hand.

this was November in Saskatchewan

At the beginning of the month I wrote a post about how I hate November…well, at least this year, I have to take that back.  It was a beautiful , unseasonably warm month – with no snow until just this week. Awesome!

Here are some pics from a a mid-November morning walk in Wascana Park with just my iPhone in my pocket…

What caught my eye this week

I took my camera out of my purse quite often this week…here’s a smattering of what caught my eye…

clouds on Tuesday night were amazing – missed the orange sky because I was still at work, but these colours weren’t too shabby!

these pelicans were so hard to photograph because the one on the left wouldn’t stay still…

football players have nice arms - 2016 version

Football players have the nicest arms, 2016 edition.  It was a fun night at Mosaic Stadium on Friday night with the Roughriders first win of the season on a 53 yard field goal with about a minute left.  One of those magical moments when everyone was brought to their feet and didn’t stop cheering until the end of the game.

ugh...slugs-2

slugs – I’d never seen one before this weekend, now I’ve seen hundreds! GROSS!

false alarm

Happy to report that there is no snow on the ground!  Maybe, just maybe, and I don’t want to jinx it, so I’ll knock on wood as I type this, it will be a nice, mild winter.
