“The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain, the sound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach. I have heard them all, and of the three elemental voices, that of ocean is the most awesome, beautiful and varied.”
― Henry Beston, The Outermost House: A Year of Life On The Great Beach of Cape Cod
These are pictures from a trip to Mackenzie Beach, near Tofino on Vancouver Island in June 2011. I would love to go back. From your balcony at Ocean Village, it’s a place you can experience the sound of rain, the sound of wind in the trees and the sound of ocean waves on the beach.
The great thing about going to new places is the opportunity to discover new favourite places to go back to…but… if you keep wanting to go back to your favourite places, how do you discover new places?! 🙂
Love the third photo 🙂
