Prince Albert National Park Sunset

Waskesiu Lake sunset at Prince Albert National Park….my favourite part of camping in the park was listening to the sounds of loons calling in the distance.  If you look at this picture long enough, you just might be able to hear their distinctive and haunting song.

Saskatchewan is more than just endless miles of prairie landscapes, we have beautiful lakes and forests and rivers, too!

Made me think of how many National Parks I’ve visited in Western Canada, so here’s my list: Prince Albert National Park in Saskatchewan, Banff, Jasper, Waterton, and Elk Island National Parks in Alberta, Kootenay, Glacier and Yoho National Parks in British Columbia, and Pacific Rim National Park Reserve on Vancouver Island. I’d love to visit more, in particular, Gwaii Haanas and Gulf Islands off the coast of British Columbia, and Gros Morne in Newfoundland.  Never a bad thing to have travel goals!
