It could be a long winter here. We’ve had snow since the end of October. A lot of snow. We’ve had freezing rain, too, making walking and driving treacherous at the best of times.  It’s been cold, too. I’ve never lived anywhere but in this province, where we experience all the seasons, and as much as I complain about the cold and snow and chapped lips and dry air and itchy skin, there is still beauty to be seen.

I can’t say I’m a Yoko Ono fan, but I like this quote:

“Spring passes and one remembers one’s innocence.
