Summers Are for Road Trips

I love summer road trips.  My next one will be a camping trip to Jasper National Park in a couple of weeks.  Over the next week or so, my plan is to post pictures from a road trip to Ontario and Quebec in June, 2010.

These are pictures from the Women are Persons! Monument in Ottawa.  I wish I had enjoyed Ottawa more, but I got a touch of heatstroke the day I took these pictures (it was screaming hot there that weekend and although I love the sun and heat, it doesn’t always love me), and it took a day or so to feel back to normal.  We did find a great place in Byward Market for croissants and coffee, Moulin de Provence. (President Obama had even been there a week or so before for a photo op).  Anyway, if you’re interested in more information about the monument, here’s a link: http://www.heroines.ca/celebrate/statuepersons.html
