Going for it! This squirrel is on a mission….
I may have to take back my last post about not liking November, or qualify it with “I usually don’t like November” because the last few days have been unusually warm here. This squirrel entertained me this afternoon while I was sitting outside drinking coffee…here’s the run up to the leap…
And the reason for the leap….just a friendly “hello”. But, at this point my friendly squirrel was about a foot away and may have elicited a shriek from me, as it appeared ready to leap again…on me!!
After some busy weeks at work, it was nice to just outside and be entertained (and to take some pictures). I haven’t had a camera out much lately and missed the whole taking pretty pictures of fall leaves opportunity. This weekend made up for it as there was a beautiful sunset on Friday night that I photographed from my balcony – I’ll post pictures later in the week.
We are in the midst of a spring heatwave here…so, after soaking up the sun, it’s nice to just hang out in the shade, too…

It’s not that I love squirrels, it’s just that they pose so nicely for pictures…. (and I love how it doesn’t even look like winter here in these pictures! It was so nice to hear birds chirping and squirrels scurrying like it was Spring here on the weekend).
Warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I hope, like Mr. Squirrel, you enjoy a few treats over the holidays….
squirrel in Victoria Park, December, 2014
What a beautiful early spring Sunday! This friendly neighbourhood squirrel certainly looks like it had a good winter and is just as happy it’s spring as we all are…
If you’ve visited before, I hope you like the changes to my site. I’ve been sharing photos, thoughts, and quotes for the past few years now and it was time to refresh things a bit.
I’m not usually out and about on a Sunday morning….Sunday mornings are for reading and drinking coffee, except for the one Sunday out of four that I have to work. So, if I hadn’t work today, I may not have gone out to take pictures of what has turned out to be three days of beautiful hoar frost on the trees. And we saw the sun today!

I may have been a minute or two late for work in order to take this pic…
