As in Maui in 2015, I don’t think I missed a sunset in Puerto Vallarta. The sky is my endless fascination.
Most of the sunset pictures I took in Puerto Vallarta were from the rooftop pool. I don’t really have a bucket list, but I’ve always wanted to stay somewhere with a private pool.
…a lot of time was spent in this pool staring out at the sea (but my favourite time in the pool was in the evening look at the lights of Puerto Vallarta and the moon)…
The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.

“Ocean view” can mean many things when you book accommodations for a trip. It could mean you if you stand on the very end of your balcony and lean the top half of your body just so over the railing… there it is…an ocean view! So, I tried not to have too many expectations about the view, if it wasn’t a full on ocean view, at least the ocean was only a two minute walk away! But, I’m a landlocked prairie girl so I wanted to see and be near the ocean as much as possible – morning, noon and night!
When we walked into the condo (and bonus of all bonuses, we were upgraded to a newly renovated suite) and saw that this was the view we couldn’t stop smiling! We saw whales almost every morning while having coffee in the morning (I tried to take a few whale pictures from the lanai with so-so results). We went to the beach to watch the sunset on the last night of the trip and when we came back up to change for supper this was the scene! Ocean view can’t get much better than this! 🙂
