November!

“No warmth, no cheerfulness, no healthful ease,
No comfortable feel in any member –
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds –
November!”
–   Thomas Hood, No!

I’m sure there is something good to be said about November, but in the meantime, here are some colourful fall shots….

I suppose it’s the time of year where it’s nice to get cozy with a good cup of coffee, and a good book…here’s what I’m reading at the moment…

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.

red and yellow leaves

September has passed, but I like this quote:

[T]hat old September feeling… of summer passing, vacation nearly done, obligations gathering, books and football in the air…. Another fall, another turned page: there was something of jubilee in that annual autumnal beginning, as if last year’s mistakes and failures had been wiped clean by summer. ~Wallace Stegner

Work has been very busy the last few weeks, but hopefully I can get out and get a few more photos before all the leaves are gone…
