A collection of scenes and things that captured my interest in the month of July…

antelope

I was a safe distance away….it didn’t want to move. It was also 35 degrees celsius that day and there was no shade in sight. Its family was laying in the grass on the other side of the road.

flowers still in bloom

Back to my favourite subject… close-up flower photography. Really enjoying that my flowers are still blooming (especially when the leaves have fallen off the trees – it’s nice to still have some colour to look at).

lilies and a gerbera daisy

Flowers are my favourite subject matter for photography…these are my favourite ones I’ve taken lately. I took the lily picture last Sunday in Rotary Park – I’ve walked there plenty of times but I guess never when the lilies were blooming because I’m pretty sure I would have noticed!  They were spectacular that day.  I took the gerbera daisy picture today (I took several, this was my favourite of the bunch).
