Plaza de la Catedral (Cathedral Square), Havana

In Feburary 2009 we went to Varadero, Cuba for our winter vacation.  Cuba is an interesting place to take pictures, and even though it wasn’t my favourite destination, I would like to go back just to take pictures (also because I think I’m a better photographer now and have a better camera!).  It’s a very colourful place. We spent an afternoon in Havana, which was way too short, but we did manage to wander around through the most historic part of the city.  These are pictures from Plaza de la Catedral in late afternoon.

Neighbourhood Walk Part 2

My favourite building in Regina

Land Titles Building (home of the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame)

Knox Metropolitan United Church

The Balfour (condos/apartments)

front entrance of the Hotel Saskatchewan

Central Park

All of these sights are in my neighbourhood.  I’ve lived in Regina for a long time now, and I’ve never really thought of it as a pretty city. (I think I may have said this in a post a few months ago, too!)   I appreciate many of the things the city has to offer, but since I’ve started to get into photography a bit more, it’s given me the chance to see the city in a different way.  There actually are a lot of interesting places in Regina.  (Now if it only it were a bit closer to the ocean!)
